Logic, Khalid and Alessia Cara produce a song for the National Suicide Prevention Hotline

Khalid was already quickly becoming one of our favorite new artists, but just hearing him closing out Logic’s new “1-800-273-8255” track which is in partnership with the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and features another Wellness favorite, Alessia Cara is moving, he sings, “I don’t wanna cry, I don’t wanna cry anymore, I wanna feel alive, I don’t wanna, I don’t even wanna die anymore” and you could hear the hope and feeling in his voice.

The song embodies a call to the suicide prevention network, where the artists enact a call in, its response and the result.

Logic sings the hook, “I feel like I’m out of my mind/ It feel like my life ain’t mine,” and goes on to play the part of the helpline rapping/replying, “I want you to be alive, You don’t gotta die today, I want you to be alive, you don’t gotta die, let me tell you why…” which leads into Alessia Cara furthering the hopeful message of the helpline.
